Fine strands of Iolite — shifting between smoky violet, ink and charcoal — form the body of the necklace.
Instead of allowing the gemstones to continue uninterrupted, I brought four vintage silver amulets into the neckline. Old, sculptural and slightly unexpected, they give the necklace its rhythm. And then, at the centre, light.
A pear-shaped Rainbow Moonstone set in silver, deliberately kept as the single luminous focal point against all that deep Iolite.
Grey hand-knotted threadwork completes the piece, continuing the muted palette rather than introducing another colour.
